Brian Goyette

Brian Goyette, born on March 28, 1970 in Schenectady, New York, passed away at home in Scotia, New York on December 20, 2025, following a brief illness. He was 55 years old.

Brian spent his life in the Capital Region of New York, where he built deep roots and lasting connections. For twenty-two years he shared a devoted partnership with his spouse, Laurie Castaldi. He was a proud father to daughter Breanna Morales and her husband Carlos, and sons Shane Castaldi and Teigan Goyette. He also cherished his role as grandfather to Cameron and Sophia Morales.

He was the beloved son of Deborah Bullock and the late Richard Goyette. Brian is lovingly remembered by his sister Michelle Battaglia (Dan); brothers Michael Goyette (Nicolle), James Goyette (Tosha) and brother-in -law, David Castaldi (Michael). He was blessed with many nieces and nephews; Avielle and Carmella Goyette; Dylan, Landon, Kingston and Jacob Goyette; and Nick, Jason and Luke Battaglia. He will also be remembered by his extended family that includes many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian's presence left a lasting impression on those around him. His infectious smile and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being part of his life.
